A second interstate truck driver has tested positive to COVID-19 during routine testing.<\/p>\n

The 46-year-old driver, from the Logan area, was tested at Pimpama late last week and is believed to have been possibly infectious in the community from August 28 to September 1.<\/p>\n

The driver is believed to be now in NSW but his household contacts in Queensland are being tested.<\/p>\n

This was the second COVID-related incident on the Gold Coast revealed by\u00a0Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk on Thursday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

She said a school had been closed after children boasted about sneaking into Queensland from Victoria.<\/p>\n

Health Minister Yvette D\u2019Ath said the family of five, including three children under the age of 10, had recently travelled to Melbourne and returned \u201cvia an inland route\u201d.<\/p>\n

She said the family was not co-operating with authorities and had refused to be tested or reveal where they have been.<\/p>\n

Ms D\u2019Ath said some of the family members were unwell, but it was not known yet if they had COVID.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Two of the children attended a college at Carrara on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said all students at the school would have to go into quarantine for 14 days if the two children were not tested.<\/p>\n

The incidents have put health authorities on high alert.<\/p>\n

Ms D\u2019Ath urged anyone with any symptoms in the Logan or Gold Coast council areas to get tested and isolate until they received their results.<\/p>\n
