A pair of carpet snakes hitched a ride around the world at historic Taabinga Homestead on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The two reptiles caused a small stir in the audience as they slithered across the beams of the outbuilding where the South Burnett Chorale was holding a concert.<\/p>\n

But\u00a0 the 23 singers weren’t too concerned by the extra music lovers dangling overhead!<\/p>\n

Chorale conductor Julee-Anne Bell said the theme of the concert was “If Wishing Made It So … Around The World In Sixty Minutes”, a nod to the fact overseas travel isn’t possible at the moment.<\/p>\n

The repertoire included songs from Kenya, New Orleans, Scotland and India.<\/p>\n

About 100 people, plus the two pythons, turned up to enjoy the music.<\/p>\n

The human guests enjoyed afternoon tea in the grounds of Taabinga Homestead after the show.<\/p>\n
