Queensland Health issued an alert on Friday for new COVID-19 exposure sites at\u00a0Karana Downs, Seventeen Mile Rocks and the Brisbane Domestic Airport.<\/p>\n

There are now more than 300 sites listed on the Queensland Health website.<\/p>\n

Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young told reporters on Friday that she was “hopeful” she could lift the south-east Queensland lockdown on Sunday, although some restrictions would continue even after the lockdown ended.<\/p>\n

The good news was that although Queensland had\u00a0recorded 10 new locally acquired Delta cases overnight, all were linked to the Indooroopilly cluster.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And only two had been infectious in the community for a total of one day; the remainder were already in quarantine.<\/p>\n

All tests at the Rookwood Weir construction site camp have been negative.<\/p>\n

The Indooroopilly cluster now totals 89, including 57 people aged 19 or under. The cluster includes\u00a048 students and four teachers across five schools.<\/p>\n

A Queensland Health spokesperson said there were more than 13,100 contacts associated with the cluster, including more than 8500 people in home quarantine.<\/p>\n

Of these, 400 are health workers.<\/p>\n
