South Burnett Regional Council will receive $5.63 million from Round 4 of the State Government’s Works For Queensland (W4Q) program.<\/p>\n

Mayor Brett Otto confirmed on Monday that Council will receive the funds for the 2021-2024 period after successfully acquitting the $4.5 million it received from the program in 2019-21, along with an extra $3.31 million received in 2020-21 from a special COVID round.<\/p>\n

That money was spent on a wide array of projects ranging from footpaths to park upgrades and building maintenance.<\/p>\n

Under State Government rules, W4Q funding has to be spent on job-creating maintenance and minor infrastructure projects relating to assets owned or controlled by Council.<\/p>\n

The funding enables councils to invest in a range of upgrade, maintenance and refurbishment projects in the following categories:<\/strong><\/p>\n
