{"id":303140,"date":"2021-07-29T13:19:52","date_gmt":"2021-07-29T03:19:52","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=303140"},"modified":"2021-07-29T16:27:02","modified_gmt":"2021-07-29T06:27:02","slug":"covid-changes-for-truckies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2021\/07\/29\/covid-changes-for-truckies\/","title":{"rendered":"COVID Changes For Truckies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>July 29, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Heavy vehicle and freight drivers will need to obtain and display a Freight and Logistics pass and adhere to a COVID-19 testing regime before entering Queensland under new changes coming into effect from Friday (July 30).<\/p>\n<p>From 1:00am, heavy vehicles without an approved Freight and Logistics pass will not be permitted to cross the border and will be turned around.<\/p>\n<p>Drivers will also be required to prove they have completed the necessary COVID-19 testing regime, which includes evidence of a recent (within 7 days) negative COVID-19 test result if they have been in a declared COVID-19 hotspot.<\/p>\n<p>As well, drivers coming from the NSW Local Government Areas of Fairfield, Liverpool, Bankstown, Cumberland, Blacktown, Parramatta, Campbelltown and Georges River will have to produce evidence of a negative COVID-19 test result within three days of attempting to enter Queensland.<\/p>\n<p><strong>More information about the requirements is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qld.gov.au\/health\/conditions\/health-alerts\/coronavirus-covid-19\/current-status\/public-health-directions\/travelling-to-queensland#questions-about-freight-services\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A police spokesperson said more than 75 heavy vehicles have been turned around recently at the border due to invalid border passes or other compliance issues.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Heavy vehicle and freight drivers will need to obtain and display a Freight and Logistics pass and adhere to a COVID-19 testing regime before entering Queensland under new changes coming into effect from Friday (July 30).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":202523,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[5,1455,3,36],"tags":[1134],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
