July 27, 2021 <\/strong><\/p>\n

Member for Nanango Deb Frecklington has met with local Wooroolin children to throw her support behind their push for a skate park in the town.<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington said she had recently received a handwritten letter from local youngsters Nate and Harry seeking her help.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“I called a meeting with the boys and some of their friends to discuss how we can work together to bring this idea to fruition,” Mrs Frecklington said.<\/p>\n

“Wooroolin has a group of passionate youths in their town and I am certainly willing to help them in any way I can.<\/p>\n

“I will be advocating on behalf of the boys with the South Burnett Regional Council.<\/p>\n

“I have also contacted local community groups to discuss grant opportunities, and at the meeting we discussed possible fundraising options.”<\/p>\n

Mrs Frecklington said she was very impressed by the young group.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“They showed a great deal of passion and confidence throughout the meeting to talk me through this project for their community,” she said.<\/p>\n

“The next step will be to start a petition, and I look forward to working with Nate, Harry and their friends to see their dream become reality.”<\/p>\n
