Queensland is declaring all of Victoria a COVID-19 hotspot from 1:00am on Saturday (July 17).<\/p>\n

Anyone who has been to Victoria will not be allowed to enter Queensland unless they are a returning Queensland resident, except for a limited range of people who can enter for an essential purpose.<\/p>\n

Queensland residents, and anyone who is allowed to enter Queensland from these locations, will be required to go into 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine.<\/p>\n

Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young said the department was responding quickly to the evolving situation in Victoria for the safety of Queenslanders.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe situation in Victoria is continuing to escalate, and because they\u2019ve imposed a lockdown, we\u2019ll be restricting access to Queensland from all of Victoria ,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is imperative that if you have been to Victoria, you follow the lockdown rules and don\u2019t travel to Queensland.\u201d<\/p>\n

Queensland Health issued a new Public Health Alert on Friday for exposure sites in south-east Queensland, the Moreton Bay region and Brisbane Airport.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The contact tracing locations include sites in Aspley, Caboolture, Chermside, Cotton Tree, Forest Glen, Kippa-Ring, Maroochydore, Redcliffe, Rothwell and the Brisbane Airport.<\/p>\n

“We are asking all Queenslanders to regularly monitor the list of exposure venues on the Queensland Health website and follow the public health advice,” a Queensland Health spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who has been to a venue within the identified timeframe should get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result. Also complete the contact tracing form on the website.<\/p>\n

“A reminder for all Queenslanders \u2013 if you have any COVID-19 symptoms at any time, no matter how mild, you should immediately get tested for COVID-19.<\/p>\n

“Anyone who has recently travelled to Queensland from interstate is urged to monitor the contact tracing list for new and updated exposure venues.”<\/p>\n
