Queensland Health has added more contact tracing locations to its public health alert about the latest COVID-19 clusters in Brisbane.<\/p>\n

The latest list – which details more than 200 Close, Casual or Low Risk locations – can be found on the Queensland Health website<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

It includes sites in New Farm, Kangaroo Point, Woolloongabba and Forest Lake, on top of the locations at\u00a0Eumundi, Noosaville, Noosa Heads, Sunshine Beach,\u00a0Carina, Carindale and Tingalpa announced at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Health officials are urging residents to regularly check this list as it is being continually updated.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

There were four more locally acquired cases of COVID-19 announced on Monday.<\/p>\n

The good news,\u00a0 according to Chief Health Officer Dr Jeannette Young, is that she does not believe the highly contagious Delta variant is circulating in the Queensland community.<\/p>\n

All the latest cases are the Alpha variant.<\/p>\n

There are now 23 cases related to the Portuguese restaurant and the Greek Community Centre outbreak.<\/p>\n

Of the\u00a047 active cases in Queensland, 38 people are hospital.<\/strong><\/p>\n

There are\u00a03122 people in hotel quarantine, which prompted Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to renew her call for dedicated quarantine facilities to be built in Queensland.<\/p>\n

Since the pandemic began in March 2020, there have been three cases recorded in the South Burnett Regional Council area: two acquired overseas, and one acquired interstate.<\/p>\n

In the Toowoomba Regional Council area,\u00a0 there has been a total of 47 cases – including 37 acquired overseas, nine acquired locally (contacts known) and one interstate. Two people have died.<\/p>\n

There are currently no active cases in the Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service region; and a\u00a0total of\u00a022,391 vaccine doses have been administered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
