Another Kingaroy police officer has allegedly been bitten by a person in custody at the Kingaroy Watchhouse.<\/p>\n

Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney, said a taxi driver requested assistance about 8:45pm on Saturday after a passenger refused to pay a fare.<\/p>\n

“After numerous requests the passenger – a 30-year-old Kingaroy woman – ripped the EFTPOSs machine from the mount and then became abusive,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.<\/p>\n

“The woman was arrested and taken to Kingaroy Watchhouse.\u00a0 Whilst being processed in the watchhouse the woman has bitten a police officer on the finger.”<\/p>\n

The woman has been charged with serious assault of police, public nuisance and obstructing police.<\/p>\n

The officer suffered minor bruising.<\/p>\n

On June 19, another police officer was bitten on the finger at the watchhouse while an arrested man was being moved between cells.<\/p>\n

A 30-year-old Kingaroy man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 19 charged with drug possession after police were called to a house in William Street in relation to another matter,<\/p>\n

They allegedly located a\u00a0small amount of cannabis.<\/p>\n

A 47-year- old Ballogie man will appear in\u00a0Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 19 charged with unlicensed driving after police pulled over a Ford Falcon ute in First Avenue, Kingaroy, on Friday evening.<\/p>\n

Two people will face drug-driving charges after being stopped by the Kingaroy Road Policing Unit on\u00a0Greenview Road at Wondai on Saturday:<\/p>\n

  • A 39-year-old Gracemere man will appear in\u00a0Murgon Magistrates Court on August 10.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • A 48-year-old Wondai man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 2.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      A\u00a020-year-old Wondai man will appear in\u00a0Murgon Magistrates Court on August 10 to face a number of charges after police pulled over his vehicle on\u00a0Magnussen\u2019s Road at Tingoora on Saturday.<\/p>\n
