Gympie Regional Council has launched an online “transparency hub” to allow residents access to Council’s financial details.<\/p>\n

The site displays council\u2019s up-to-date financials as well as information about contractual and procurement expenses, capital works, organisational budgets and councillor expenditure.<\/p>\n

The Gympie Regional Council Transparency Hub is a first for the region and will be updated with new data monthly.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour Council was elected in 2020 on the mandate we would open the doors of the organisation to you, the resident and ratepayer,” Mayor Glen Hartwig said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Gympie Regional Council Transparency Hub is but only one of the ways this Council is working towards a more open, transparent and community orientated local government.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is still very much early days, and we will be looking at providing more data as time goes on.<\/p>\n

\u201cI would encourage all residents and ratepayers to have a look at the site.\u201d<\/p>\n
