Queensland Health says the hotspot declaration for Victoria will remain in place for at least another seven days following the extension of the lockdown in Victoria.<\/p>\n

Acting Chief Health Officer Dr Sonya Bennett said Qld Health would continue to monitor the situation in Victoria.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ve seen how quickly COVID-19 can run rampant, and that Victoria is still identifying unlinked cases, which is why we\u2019re keeping the hotspot declaration in place for a little while longer,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll review it in seven days, in line with the Victorian lockdown of Greater Melbourne.\u201d<\/p>\n

Anyone who has been in Victoria in the past 14 days is not allowed to enter Queensland unless they are a returning Queensland resident, except for a limited range of people who can enter for an essential purpose.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anyone who is allowed to enter Queensland will be required to go into 14 days mandatory hotel quarantine.<\/p>\n

NSW Health also released a list of declared COVID-19 exposure sites on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n

Dr Bennett said anyone who has been in NSW on or since May 19 should check the list of exposure sites.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll continue to monitor NSW also, but right now, all Queenslanders need to be concerned about there is those exposure sites,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

Anyone in Queensland who has been to a declared COVID-19 exposure site in NSW during the risk period specified is automatically required to home quarantine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

If you have recently returned from NSW and not visited any listed exposure venues during the risk period, get tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild, and isolate until you get the results and your symptoms resolve.<\/p>\n
