Two more South Burnett groups have secured grants from the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal’s “Tackling Tough Times Together” grants program.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Mountain Bike Club will receive\u00a0$49,654 from FRRR’s latest grants round to construct more trails at the Gordonbrook Dam Mountain Bike Park.<\/p>\n

This builds on the $25,097 the club received earlier this year from the Tarong Community Partnership Fund towards the project.<\/p>\n

The club has been working to\u00a0extend the existing trail network and also plans to develop a skills area and pump track as well as a trail head with a shelter and possible barbecue area.<\/p>\n

The Farm 2 Fork Collective will receive\u00a0$19,475 from FRRR to support the group\u2019s volunteers with professional development.<\/p>\n

Farm 2 Fork is a not-for-profit collective assisting\u00a0the South Burnett’s small food producers and food manufacturers.<\/p>\n

It is currently working towards the opening of an outlet in Wooroolin.<\/p>\n

The FRRR’s “Tackling Tough Times Together” grants program is supported by the Federal Government.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s great to see funds flowing to a number of important community projects across Maranoa, including in the South Burnett, through Round 20 of the TTTT program,\u201d Agriculture Minister and Member for Maranoa David Littleproud said.<\/p>\n

He said the mountain bike project would provide a welcome boost to the South Burnett, attracting riders to the region and getting tourism dollars flowing.<\/p>\n
