South Burnett Eagles notched up another strong win in the Toowoomba Rugby League U18s competition at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett side, which is now sitting in sixth spot on the ladder, downed Wattles Warriors 44-20 at Clifton on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Eagles’ try scorers were Killian Klease (2), Lennox Bligh (2), Cody Gale (2), Lloyd Langton, Stafford Sandow and Lachlan Bligh.<\/p>\n

Lloyd Langton kicked four goals.<\/p>\n

The U18s competition is also providing a pathway for South Burnett players to take part in the senior Toowoomba competition.<\/p>\n

Killian Klease, Aidan Cavanough and Lennox Bligh also made their debuts in the Newtown Lions senior grades on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

Under 15s and Under 17s girls from the South Burnett are also currently playing games with the Newtown Lions in the Toowoomba women’s junior competition.<\/strong><\/p>\n

But from next week, Under 13s will be playing with the Pittsworth Danes.<\/p>\n

This Weekend’s Games<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Kingaroy Red Ants will be hosting a full round of games from Under 6s through to Under 18s at T.J. O’Neill Oval on Saturday in memory of former Kingaroy player, Harmony Hall, who died last year.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To honour Harmony\u2019s memory, the Hall family\u00a0and the Kingaroy Red Ants are hosting a Youth Suicide Prevention Day.<\/p>\n

There will\u00a0be junior games, a canteen and fundraising for various mental health\u00a0charities.<\/p>\n

As well as the Under 6s to Under 12s games, there will be two Under 14s games; and the South Burnett Eagles will be in action against Valleys in Under 15s, Under 16s and Under 18s.<\/p>\n

  • 10:30am – Under 14s – Murgon v Chinchilla<\/li>\n
  • 11:35am – Under 15s – South Burnett v Valleys<\/li>\n
  • 1:35pm – Under 16s –\u00a0South Burnett v Valleys<\/li>\n
  • 3:00pm – Under 18s –\u00a0South Burnett v Valleys<\/li>\n
  • 4:20pm – Under 14s – Kingaroy v Nanango<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    At Wondai Sportsground, the Wolves will be celebrating the 50th anniversary of the opening of the clubhouse (a year late due to COVID).<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Former Wolves will be returning for the day and there will be two A Grade games played: Cherbourg v Kingaroy and Wondai v Nanango.<\/p>\n

    • 12:30pm – 3:00pm – Clubhouse function ($5 per person, bar, music, memorabilia)<\/li>\n
    • 1:15pm – A Grade game – Cherbourg v Kingaroy<\/li>\n
