Ex-Murgon pharmacist Curtis Mickan has been charged with attempted murder in the wake of a devastating house fire in Brisbane at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to Eveleigh Street in Wooloowin just after 6:00am on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Firefighters found a highset timber home well alight when they arrived.<\/p>\n

Two women who were allegedly in the house at the time the fire started escaped without injury.<\/p>\n

The blaze followed an alleged domestic violence incident at the house on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

Curtis Shea Mickan, 34, faces two counts each of attempted murder and arson, assault occasioning bodily harm, common assault and wilful damage.<\/p>\n

The charges were mentioned in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday morning.<\/p>\n

Mickan, who did not appear, was remanded in custody. <\/p>\n

His solicitor did not apply for bail. <\/p>\n
