Work to replace two footbridges in the old Nanango Shire will begin soon.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Regional Council announced on Wednesday that work to replace the Taromeo pedestrian bridge in Blackbutt and the\u00a0Pioneer Park bridge in Nanango would begin in mid-May.<\/p>\n

Both jobs are expected to be completed by mid-June, weather permitting.<\/p>\n

The wooden Taromeo Bridge will be demolished and replaced with a 2.5m x 12m steel bridge.<\/p>\n

The work is being funded by the Federal Government\u2019s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program.<\/p>\n

The Pioneer Park bridge will also be replaced with a steel structure.<\/p>\n

This project is being funded through the State Government\u2019s School Transport Infrastructure Program and Council\u2019s 2020-21 Capital Upgrade Works program.<\/p>\n

To provide a safe working environment for contractors and users, the work areas will be barricaded off during the projects.<\/p>\n
