A South Burnett woman seeking a peace and good behaviour order against Cr Scott Henschen says she has lodged an appeal against a Magistrates Court decision.<\/p>\n

Judy Schulz, the former campaign manager for South Burnett councillor Scott Henschen, was ordered to pay $1500 in costs on April 9 by Kingaroy Magistrate\u00a0Andrew Sinclair after he dismissed three complaints lodged by her against Cr Henschen and two of his friends, Kingaroy businesspeople John and Laura Newbery.<\/p>\n

Ms Schulz later described the costs order as “monopoly money” and said she would continue her very public dispute with Cr Henschen.<\/p>\n

In a statement released at the weekend, Ms Schulz said her solicitor, Ian Dempster, had filed an appeal on Friday against Magistrate Sinclair’s decision.<\/p>\n

This would be heard in the District Court.<\/p>\n

Ms Schulz also said barrister Kerri Fredericks was preparing an appeal against the dismissal of a complaint by her to the Office Of The Independent Assessor (OIA), the State Government body which considers complaints against councillors.<\/p>\n

The OIA referred the complaint, against Cr Henschen, back to Council who then referred it to the Councillor Conduct Tribunal (CCT) for investigation.<\/p>\n

South Burnett Mayor Brett Otto, accepting the findings of the CCT, later ruled Cr Henschen had not engaged in inappropriate conduct.<\/p>\n
