A planned upgrade to Toomey Street in Yarraman could mean the loss of between three and five car parking spaces.<\/p>\n

The project, by the Department of Transport and Main Roads, aims to improve safety by reducing the speed of vehicles travelling through town.<\/p>\n

It includes installing concrete kerb extensions, new line marking and road signs.<\/p>\n

The width of the road will also be reduced in a bid to make it safer for both pedestrians and motorists.<\/p>\n

DTMR plans to consult with local businesses and the community before work begins.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
