Burnett Inland Economic Development Organisation (BIEDO) chief executive officer Kristy Frahm has resigned to take up a role with the Australian Rural Leadership Foundation.<\/p>\n

Ms Frahm – an ARLF alumni – has been with BIEDO for seven years, including almost five as CEO.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is with mixed feelings that I have decided to leave BIEDO after many years. While I will miss our people and places immensely, I am really looking forward to a new challenge and I think the time is right to hand over the reins to the next person,\u201d Ms Frahm said.<\/p>\n

She joined BIEDO in early 2014 as a finance officer before stepping into the role of CEO on July 1, 2016.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been a privilege to be a member of Team BIEDO and to work across such a special part of the world. The Burnett Inland is an amazing region and from an economic development perspective is diverse, resilient and continually evolving,\u201d Ms Frahm said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe strength and ingenuity of our business community, both town-based and ag-based, in the face of challenges such as drought and COVID-19 is nothing short of inspirational. To have had the opportunity to be part of an organisation supporting their efforts has been a gift.\u201d<\/p>\n

BIEDO Board Chair John Zahl thanked Ms Frahm for her service.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019ve worked alongside Kristy as Chair for several years now and have seen BIEDO go from strength to strength under her leadership. The BIEDO team and support they provide through programs and services are a credit to Kristy\u2019s passion for our regional communities and she will be missed,\u201d Mr Zahl said.<\/p>\n

\u201cOn behalf of our entire organisation, I wish her all the best for her future.\u201d<\/p>\n

Applications are being called for Ms Frahm\u2019s replacement and a position description will be posted on the BIEDO website.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
