Kingaroy Men’s Shed members are feeling chuffed after their recent “Dinner Under The Stars” raised several thousand dollars for the LifeFlight Foundation.<\/p>\n

The open-air dinner, held last month next to the Men’s Shed headquarters at Kingaroy Airport, attracted almost 300 diners.<\/p>\n

Kingaroy Men’s Shed president Tom Johnson told southburnett.com.au<\/strong>\u00a0the final figures were still being worked out but it was probably about $4500.<\/p>\n

He said everyone seemed happy with the night, especially as the Men’s Shed’s first attempt at holding the dinner was derailed last year by COVID-19.<\/p>\n

“It was a good turnout,” Tom said.<\/p>\n

“The kids were all able to run around in safety because they were in a fenced area. The parents didn’t have to to worry about them.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

He praised the entertainment, which included live music.<\/p>\n

“The Sempf Family was marvellous,” Tom said.<\/p>\n

He also thanked all the sponsors that had come on board to make the evening happen.<\/p>\n

Tom said the Kingaroy Men’s Shed was considering doing it all again next year – with a few minor changes – but it would be up to the members to decide.<\/p>\n
