The Fair Go Dairy logo<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

The Australian Dairy Products Federation (ADPF) has lodged an application with the Australian Competition Tribunal challenging the approval of the “Fair Go Dairy” scheme.<\/p>\n

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission granted final authorisation to the Queensland Dairyfarmers Organisation for use of the logo on March 12.<\/p>\n

However, the ADPF application has now stalled the implementation.<\/p>\n

“To say that this further delay is disappointing is a major understatement,” QDO executive officer Eric Danzi told rural media.<\/p>\n

“Why is the ADPF so determined to block Fair Go Dairy which is aimed at providing transparency to consumers about the origin of milk and whether farmers are paid a fair price?”<\/p>\n

The QDO says the Fair Go Dairy logo aims to allow shoppers to identify and support the dairy brands which are paying their farmers a sustainable and fair farmgate price and whose products are made using milk from Queensland farms and Queensland cows.<\/p>\n
