{"id":297343,"date":"2021-04-15T17:08:14","date_gmt":"2021-04-15T07:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=297343"},"modified":"2021-04-15T17:09:15","modified_gmt":"2021-04-15T07:09:15","slug":"kickstart-grants-now-open","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2021\/04\/15\/kickstart-grants-now-open\/","title":{"rendered":"Kickstart Grants Now Open"},"content":{"rendered":"<figure id=\"attachment_209999\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-209999\" style=\"width: 200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a href=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/stirlinghinchliffe1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-209999\" src=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/stirlinghinchliffe1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"200\" height=\"287\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-209999\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Sport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>April 15, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The State Government is inviting sports and recreation clubs to apply for $2000 grants from the COVID-SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart Program.<\/p>\n<p>Sport Minister Stirling Hinchliffe said the Kickstart Program would help not-for-profit clubs with the cost of new equipment, training or operational expenses.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe COVID-SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart Program offers a hand-up to buy sporting equipment or help with the cost of electricity, water or ground maintenance,\u201d Mr Hinchliffe said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cClubs could also receive $2000 to train coaches in latest techniques to keep teams firing or support volunteer treasurers with the tools they need to grow their club\u2019s finances for the future.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Active Clubs Kickstart Program is designed to help volunteers build resilience and capability to ensure local sporting and recreation clubs remain at the heart of their community\u2019s COVID recovery.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Mr Hinchliffe said Round 1 of Active Clubs Kickstart in 2020 delivered $7.65 million to 3828 clubs and organisations to help them get through the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Palaszczuk Government also rolled out a State-wide survey with more than 1200 responses identifying resources for volunteers as one the highest priorities for clubs,\u201d Mr Hinchliffe said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve listened and we\u2019re helping clubs and volunteers with the tools they need for the work they do in their communities.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Applications are open until May 5.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>More information is available <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dtis.qld.gov.au\/sport\/funding-programs\/active-clubs-kickstart\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">online<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The State Government is inviting sports and recreation clubs to apply for $2000 grants from the COVID-SAFE Active Clubs Kickstart Program.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":276888,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,6],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
