parkrun)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><strong>April 14, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>South Burnett Regional Council will distribute $61,337 to 32 community groups in the latest round of its twice-a-year community grants program.<\/p>\n<p>The money will fund everything from festivals, security cameras and community hall insurance premiums to a new parkrun group in Proston and a stand-up comedy workshop in Nanango.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The successful applicants were announced at Wednesday&#8217;s Community standing committee meeting.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Communities portfolio chair Cr Danita Potter said the latest round had attracted 43 applications requesting a total of $99,215.<\/p>\n<p>All applications were read by an assessment panel, and roughly one-quarter had to be turned down due to errors in the application or insufficient funds in Council&#8217;s grants pool.<\/p>\n<p>The successful applicants in the February round were:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Community Hall
