COVID-19 restrictions will be eased across Queensland from 6:00am on Thursday, Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced.<\/p>\n

Masks will no longer be mandatory indoors (except at airports and airport passenger waiting areas, such as car parks and taxi ranks).<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dancing will also be allowed again indoors and customers will be able to stand in hotels and clubs.<\/p>\n

Visitors will be allowed at aged care homes, hospitals, correctional facilities and disability accommodation.<\/p>\n

Queensland Health said while it would not be mandatory, Queenslanders were strongly encouraged to carry a mask with them at all times when they leave home; and wear a mask when travelling on public transport, in a taxi or rideshare, in shopping centres or any indoor or outdoor space when physical distancing was not possible.<\/p>\n

The latest restrictions were imposed on April 1 after cases of community transmission were detected from clusters linked to the Princess Alexandra Hospital.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
