The second South Burnett Gem Show was a huge hit again at Kingaroy Showgrounds at the weekend.<\/p>\n

The South Burnett Gem & Fossicking Club held its first show in 2019, but like so much else, its planned 2020 outing was cancelled due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n

This meant its 2021 event – on Saturday and Sunday – was bigger and brighter than ever!<\/p>\n

Traders came from across Queensland to display and sell their wares, including gemstones, jewellery, crystals and minerals.<\/p>\n

Club secretary Karen Mead said there were 22 stalls selling outside as well as seven set up inside the Kucks Pavilion.<\/p>\n

Visitors had to don masks while inside the pavilion to obey COVID-19 restrictions, but no one seemed to be complaining.<\/p>\n

The club also organised activities for the youngsters including fossicking and sieving, and displays of polishing and cutting.<\/p>\n
