Wearing masks will be mandatory from Tuesday at all Toowoomba Regional Council public facilities.<\/p>\n

Mayor Paul Antonio said the latest Queensland Health directive would apply to Council staff and members of the public who were working in, or visiting, any TRC public facility.<\/p>\n

Mayor Antonio said masks would be needed at all TRC service centres, libraries, swimming pools, fitness and recreation centres, art galleries, community facilities, cultural centres, museums, Visitor Information Centres, the Toowoomba Animal Management Centre, waste facilities and meeting rooms.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur primary goal is to ensure the health and safety of all residents and our staff at every one of our public facilities, plus all Council work areas,\u201d Mayor Antonio said.<\/p>\n

\u201cAll of Council\u2019s public sites will continue to display the mandatory QR codes for contact tracing purposes, if required.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cIt is important for residents to follow the established health and safety guidelines that have served us well to date.<\/p>\n

\u201cPlease stay at home if you are unwell and arrange to be tested if you have any COVID-19 symptoms, no matter how mild.<\/p>\n

\u201cStay 1.5 metres away from other people, wash your hands properly with soap and water (or sanitiser) and leave a location if it is crowded.<\/p>\n
