Eight people – including six children – were transported to hospital for assessment after a rollover near Wooroolin on Friday night.<\/p>\n
Emergency services were called to the crash on the Bunya Highway just before 10:00pm.<\/p>\n
Officer-in-charge of Kingaroy Police, Senior Sergeant Dave Tierney said the Toyota\u00a0failed to negotiate a bend, hit a guard post and flipped on to its driver’s side<\/p>\n
QAS paramedics assessed two adults and six children at scene.<\/p>\n
Snr Sgt Tierney said the driver, a 29-year-old Kingaroy woman, had told police she was travelling towards Kingaroy when she had to look back at her children.<\/p>\n
“When she looked back at the road, she hit a guide post\u00a0and lost control then the car flipped,” Snr Sgt Tierney said.<\/p>\n
The patients were transported to Kingaroy Hospital in a stable condition with minor injuries.<\/p>\n
The vehicle was moderately damaged.<\/p>\n
Investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n
