South Burnett Saints’ men’s and women’s teams will be in action this weekend with pre-season games at Fernvale.<\/p>\n

The Saints, who have been training since the beginning of the month, will be facing last year’s premiers, South Toowoomba Bombers.<\/p>\n

The women’s game will start at 12:30pm at Fernvale Sports Park, followed by the men at about 2:00pm.<\/p>\n

Darling Downs AFL’s official 2021 competition will be kicking off on April 24.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The 14-round senior men’s competition features eight teams this year, with the post-COVID return of University.<\/p>\n

The women’s competition will also feature 14 rounds, with six clubs competing.<\/p>\n

Both Grand Finals will be played on August 28.<\/p>\n

In Round 1, the Saints men will play Warwick at WCU Oval in Warwick while the Saints women will play Dalby at Dalby.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Their first home games will be in Round 3 against University at Lyle Vidler Oval in Kingaroy on May 8.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
