Cherbourg’s Sports Complex attracted a large crowd on Sunday afternoon to enjoy some special Gospel music.<\/p>\n

The free concert was originally going to be held in Barambah Avenue, but the weather forced a change of venue.<\/p>\n

Roger Knox, who has been headlining country music concerts for years, topped the bill alongside Dennis\u00a0“Mop”\u00a0Conlon, best known for his work with the late Angus Rabbitt in Mop And The Dropouts, a band which recorded a string of iconic Indigenous hits in the 1980s.<\/p>\n

The concert was compered by Pastor Max Conlon and radio announcer “Big Chance” Chapman, and broadcast live on Cherbourg Radio.<\/p>\n

The evening also included a community barbecue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
