Murgon’s Dairy Museum will receive $22,000 for upgrades under the latest round of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Seventeen South Burnett groups will share almost $385,000 in grants from the latest round of the State Government’s Gambling Community Benefit Fund.<\/p>\n

Round 107 has distributed\u00a0more than $12.7 million in funding to\u00a0545 Queensland not-for-profit community groups.<\/p>\n

Successful applicants in the South Burnett are:<\/strong><\/p>\n

  • Blackbutt Axeman and Sawyers Club Inc – Buy and install grandstands – $30,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Bunya Mountains Community Association Inc – Buy telecommunications equipment – $12,802<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • C & K Murgon Community Kindergarten – Build fence – $35,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Crawford State School P&C – Build undercover area – $33,468<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • Hivesville Progress Association – Extend shed and upgrade Memorial Park area – $32,844<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Kingaroy Bowls Club Inc – Buy mower – $8900<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Kingaroy Clay Target Club Inc – Buy and install cold room – $13,987.42<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Kingaroy Sporting Club Inc – Upgrade facility – $34,918<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  • Nanango Golf Club Inc – Resurface greens – $35,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    • Proston and District Heritage Association Inc – Construct and install signs – $10,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      • Queensland Dairy & Heritage Museum Murgon Inc – Upgrade facility – $22,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        • RSL&A Nanango Sub-Branch Inc – Upgrade electrical distribution board – $31,855<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          • South Burnett Arts Inc – Buy equipment and develop website and branding – $5083<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            • South Burnett Gem and Fossicking Club – Buy equipment, install security screens and host workshop – $9300<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                              • The Blackbutt Agricultural Show Society Inc – Buy and install grandstands – $26,915<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                • Wondai Woodworkers Inc – Extend shed, construct roofs and buy saw – $35,000<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                  • Wooroolin Community Committee – Buy and install water tank, pump and hot water system – $7869<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                    \u201cOur not-for-profit organisations are the heart and soul of Queensland communities,\u201d Attorney-General Shannon Fentiman said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

                                    \u201cThese grants will help these hard-working groups continue and build on their work, and help deliver relevant services to our locals.<\/p>\n

                                    \u201cLocal businesses and suppliers are set to benefit too as many of our community groups turn to them to purchase equipment, and for building services giving a much-needed boost to our economy, especially in regional Queensland.\u201d<\/p>\n
