Work has started on a $3.5 million project in Kingaroy by Queensland developer Deluca Corporation, the company which brought Bunnings to the South Burnett.<\/p>\n

The large format retail project is going ahead near Bunnings on the southern side of town.<\/p>\n

The major tenant will be PETstock, a national pet goods retailer which operates stores in six States.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m excited for the opportunity this project brings, as it provides additional services and jobs to the area,\u201d Deluca Corporation founder and managing director Nic De Luca said.<\/p>\n

The corporation says it aims to employ as many local residents as possible during the development and use many local material suppliers.<\/p>\n

In addition to Pet Stock, a service auto operator may take up the balance of the new building.<\/p>\n

This project is expected to completed by May.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Deluca Corporation also has plans for a small-scale residential development on the land to the rear of the site.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe intent of the small-scale residential development is to help bridge Kingaroy\u2019s lack of affordable housing,\u201d Mr De Luca said.<\/p>\n

Deluca is a major Queensland developer of industrial, commercial, large format retail, fast food, fuel, bulky goods, sporting, education, residential, mining and childcare projects.<\/p>\n

Including the Bunnings project, the corporation has bought close to $20 million worth of investment to the South Burnett region.<\/p>\n
