A come-and-try day for anyone interested in wheelchair basketball will be held at the South Burnett PCYC in Murgon on Saturday, April 17.<\/p>\n

The Suncoast Spinners, whose activities proved very popular at the recent Disability and Mental Health Expo in Kingaroy, are hosting the day alongside local group, South Burnett Peace of Mind.<\/p>\n

Rhonda Trivett, from\u00a0South Burnett Peace of Mind, said wheelchair basketball wasn’t just for people in a wheelchair.<\/p>\n

“It’s all-inclusive,” she said. “It’s for people in a wheelchair, people with a mental health issue, people with PTSD, autism or just anyone.”<\/p>\n

“It’s a lot of fun.”<\/p>\n

The come-and-try day is for all people aged 6-70. Wheelchairs will be provided.<\/p>\n

It will be held from 10:00am to noon at the PCYC building in Macalister Street, Murgon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

From 12:30pm to 2:00pm, a closed workshop will be held for people interested in volunteering to make wheelchair basketball a reality at different venues in the South Burnett.<\/p>\n
