Murgon’s 2021 Easter SpEGGtacular has been cancelled for the second year in a row due to COVID-19 restrictions.<\/p>\n

The decision was announced at a recent meeting of the Murgon Business and Development Association.<\/p>\n

The group said COVID-19 restrictions on large outdoor events made it impossible to hold the event this year.<\/p>\n

Instead, they will request an extension to funding acquittal dates so the event can be rescheduled to Easter 2022.<\/p>\n

The SpEGGtacular was introduced in 2019 as a replacement for Murgon’s 25-year-old Christmas Fair.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Between 2015 and 2018, the Christmas Fair had to be either cut short or cancelled due to bad weather.<\/p>\n

This led to losses and a decision to swap to an Easter celebration in 2019 instead.<\/p>\n

The first SpEGGtacular ran successfully that year, but has not run since due to the pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
