Yallakool Park managers Heath Sander and Rowena Wessling have also taken over management of the South Burnett’s other premier fishing recreation area, Lake Boondooma Caravan and Recreation Park.<\/p>\n

A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said the couple started on February 27.<\/p>\n

They took over from previous managers Doug and Kath Hughes.<\/strong><\/p>\n

“Doug and Kath Hughes managed the Caravan and Recreation Park from December 2019 and stayed on as caretakers during the COVID-19 closure (March to August), and assisted Council with COVID Management Plans in preparation for re-opening of the parks,” the spokesperson said.<\/p>\n

“Council thanks Doug and Kath for their service and wishes them all the best in their new endeavours.”<\/p>\n

Heath and Rowena are well-known as\u00a0co-chairs of the Murgon Music Muster.<\/p>\n
