Kingaroy Speedway favourite Josh Harm took out the Modifieds final on Saturday night<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

March 11, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

Speedway was back on the track in Kingaroy on Saturday with a spectacular autumn night of action.<\/p>\n

Racing was across five categories – from junior sedans (under 17s) through to the always-popular Modifieds, Super Sedans and Wingless Sprints.<\/p>\n

There was action aplenty, with many local drivers finishing in the money.<\/p>\n

A massive rollover by Brett Barron in Lap 7 of the Modifieds feature had spectators worried until he climbed unhurt from the vehicle.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barron’s sedan ran across a tyre barrier at speed before rolling twice and ending up back on its wheels.<\/p>\n

The spectacular crash followed a six-car pile-up earlier in the race.<\/p>\n

Local favourite Josh Harm eventually took the chequered flag after dicing with\u00a0Max Clarke for most of the 35 laps.<\/p>\n

In the Street Stocks feature, Ben Stead led the way home after overcoming an early lead by Nathan Barbeler.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Barbeler and Trapp then raced neck-to-neck to secure the minor spots – leaving the rest of the field in their wake. <\/p>\n

Trapp was eventually triumphant, locking in second.<\/p>\n

In the Super Sedans,\u00a0Toowoomba\u2019s Sean Black claimed victory in Round 11 of the 2020-21 McCosker series.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The competition leader has won four of the races in the series and secured five other podium finishes.<\/p>\n

Queensland champion Matt Pascoe missed out on a podium spot, finishing fourth behind Steve Jordan and Sam Roza.<\/p>\n

The next scheduled event at the Kingaroy Speedway is the two-night Easter Stampede on\u00a0April 3-4.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Stampede replaces the Production Sedans National Title which was cancelled in October last year after a decision by Speedway Sedans Australia to postpone all Australian titles due to COVID-19 uncertainty.<\/p>\n

However, the Kingaroy Speedway elected to still go ahead with two big nights of racing.<\/p>\n

Racing on Easter Saturday will feature Production Sedans, Street Stocks and Juniors.<\/p>\n

On Easter Sunday, it will be Production Sedans, Street Stocks and Modifieds.<\/p>\n
