Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) has imposed a local fire ban for some North Coast residents.<\/p>\n

The local fire ban will be in place from 7:50am on Wednesday (March 10) for residents in the Bundaberg, Fraser Coast and Gympie Regional Council areas.<\/p>\n

The ban is expected to remain in place until 11:50pm on Tuesday, March 16.<\/p>\n

Under this local fire ban, all open fires are prohibited and all Permits to Light Fire which have been issued in the designated areas have been cancelled.<\/p>\n

QFES encourages people to use extreme care when using equipment outdoors and ensure adequate equipment is available to extinguish any fire which may start.<\/p>\n

NB. There is no fire ban in place for the South Burnett, Cherbourg or Toowoomba council areas at present.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
