{"id":294542,"date":"2021-02-12T14:27:30","date_gmt":"2021-02-12T04:27:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=294542"},"modified":"2021-02-12T17:24:52","modified_gmt":"2021-02-12T07:24:52","slug":"more-roadworks-this-month","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2021\/02\/12\/more-roadworks-this-month\/","title":{"rendered":"More Roadworks This Month"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>February 12, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There will be even more roadworks happening around the South Burnett this month with resurfacing planned for a number of key State roads.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant Minister for Regional Roads Bruce Saunders said Boral Resources would be carrying out works on behalf of the State Government at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bunya Highway<\/strong> &#8211; between Avoca and Haly streets, Kingaroy (Youngman Street)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Bunya Highway<\/strong> at Kumbia<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Burnett Highway<\/strong> &#8211; between Elk Street and Lanigan Road, Nanango<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Burnett Highway<\/strong> &#8211; at Six Mile Creek Bridge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Burnett Highway<\/strong> &#8211; at Four Mile Creek Bridge<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Kingaroy-Cooyar Road<\/strong> at Tanduringie Creek Bridge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mr Saunders said this followed more than $3 million in works completed on the Burnett Highway last year and another $7.2 million locked in for the Burnett Highway earlier this year as part of a joint road safety funding agreement between the State and Federal governments.<\/p>\n<p>In Kingaroy, Boral Resources will be on site between 6:00pm and 6:00am, Sunday to Thursday, when traffic volumes were lower.<\/p>\n<p>At the other locations, work will be carried out between 6:00am and 6:00pm, Monday to Friday, with every effort made to minimise disruption.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Saunders said the resurfacing was expected to be completed by the end of March, weather permitting.<\/p>\n<p>Some lane closures and reduced speed limits will be in place, and motorists have been urged to follow traffic controller directions.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>South Burnett Regional Council has also announced gravel resheeting works for February and March:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Hancocks Road, Kumbia<\/strong> &#8211; Gravel resheeting, beginning Monday (February 15), expected to last three to four weeks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Nollers Road, Kumbia<\/strong> \u2013 Gravel resheeting and floodway reconstruction works, beginning March 8,\u00a0expected to last three to four weeks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The works are being funded through the Federal Government\u2019s Roads to Recovery 2020-21 program.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[UPDATED]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There will be even more roadworks happening around the South Burnett this month with resurfacing planned for a number of key State roads.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":280695,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
