The Brisbane-based Topology musical ensemble – which has been a frequent visitor to local schools – is inviting applications from rural and regional Queenslanders eager to take part in a free, one-year mentorship program.<\/p>\n

The “Launchpad” program is seeking expressions of interest from emerging composers, musicians, songwriters and performers who are within the first five years of their professional careers.<\/p>\n

The one-on-one mentoring will be delivered by Topology\u2019s artists and company staff with the aim of encouraging and increasing the creative potential of participants.<\/p>\n

The program will also help participants connect with industry professionals and provide networking opportunities to showcase their work.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cLaunchpad is a component of our award-winning Top Up Program, which includes Top Up Education, Creative Bootcamp, Backstage Bootcamp and Creative workshops,\u201d Topology creative director Christa Powell said.<\/p>\n

Christa said there was no barrier of age, genre or style for Launchpad participants.<\/p>\n

They will attend an intensive week in Brisbane at Creative Bootcamp in October where they will have the opportunity to work with like-minded musicians.<\/p>\n

New works will also be professionally recorded and showcased via YouTube, Spotify and other social media sites.<\/p>\n
