The wrecked Mazda was still in a paddock at Wooroolin on Sunday afternoon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

January 25, 2021<\/strong><\/p>\n

A 32-year-old Nanango man will face court after a single-vehicle crash left a wrecked Mazda sedan in a paddock beside the Bunya Highway at Wooroolin at the weekend.<\/p>\n

Police were called to the incident at 1:40am on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The vehicle was heading towards Kingaroy when the driver apparently failed to navigate the left-hand bend at the old railway line.<\/p>\n

The vehicle veered on to the wrong side of the road, crossed a steep culvert and rolled over through a barbed wire fence, coming to rest on its wheels in the paddock.<\/p>\n

The driver was uninjured however allegedly returned a positive sample to a roadside breath test (0.168 BAC).<\/p>\n

A search of the vehicle also allegedly located drug utensils and a small amount of cannabis.<\/p>\n

The man will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on February 15\u00a0charged with drink-driving and possessing a dangerous drug and drug utensils.<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing into a single-vehicle crash which occurred on River Road at Inverlaw on Sunday afternoon.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emergency services were called to the incident, near Luck Road, at 3:00pm.<\/p>\n

A Suzuki hatchback, being driven by a 21-year-old Kingaroy woman, was travelling along River Road towards Kingaroy\u00a0when it drifted off the road to the left.<\/p>\n

The vehicle then re-entered the road but the driver apparently lost control. The Suzuki rolled an unknown number of times before coming to a stop, upside down.<\/p>\n

The woman and a one-year-old girl were transported to Kingaroy Hospital for assessment and observation.<\/p>\n

The driver allegedly returned a positive result to a roadside breath test (0.074 BAC).<\/p>\n

Investigations are continuing but police said charges were likely once the results of blood tests were known.<\/p>\n
