South Burnett Regional Council is inviting feedback on its new draft Corporate Plan for 2021-2026.<\/p>\n

Mayor Brett Otto said all Queensland councils were required to produce a new Corporate Plan every five years.\u00a0The document aims to provide Councils with a clear direction for decision-making on matters such as Budget and resource prioritisation.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur draft Corporate Plan outlines South Burnett Regional Council\u2019s priorities for the next five years,\u201d Mayor Otto said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new draft plan will be informed by what our community tells us is important.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mayor Otto said community feedback was essential.<\/p>\n

He said community views and values gathered from previous strategic planning and consultation with divisional Councillors had been taken into consideration when drafting the plan.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis analysis and consultation highlighted that many of the community\u2019s views have remained constant over recent years, and Council remains committed to delivering a Corporate Plan that provides clear direction for decisions about the natural environment, strong communities, a thriving economy, regional leadership, and Council as an effective and efficient organisation,\u201d Mayor Otto said.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe have a draft Corporate Plan for discussion and now we want to hear from the community on whether we have it right, with the final plan to include revisions based on what we hear back from the community.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

The draft Corporate Plan is available to download from Council’s website<\/a><\/strong> (8.6Mb) PDF<\/p>\n

An accompanying online survey will be available for feedback from February 1.<\/p>\n

\u201cI urge everyone to read the information available and have their say on the future of the South Burnett before consultation closes 5:00pm Friday, March 5,” Mayor Otto said.<\/p>\n
