The Murgon Meatworks has been standing empty on the edge of town since 2007<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

After months of rumours, it has been confirmed … a contract has been signed for the site of the former Murgon Meatworks.<\/p>\n

The property, which is owned by Teys Australia, has been vacant since 2007.<\/p>\n

Local councillor Kathy Duff said the sale was still subject to due diligence until May.<\/p>\n

“But I am confident that we will see some positive activity after May that will be great for the local economy,” she said.<\/p>\n

“Part of the plan that is being looked at is an industrial hub as there is a large piece of industrial zoned land with plenty of available water.”<\/p>\n

More information about the proposal is yet to be revealed.<\/p>\n
