{"id":291842,"date":"2020-12-22T11:57:57","date_gmt":"2020-12-22T01:57:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=291842"},"modified":"2020-12-22T17:53:36","modified_gmt":"2020-12-22T07:53:36","slug":"work-to-start-on-footpath","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2020\/12\/22\/work-to-start-on-footpath\/","title":{"rendered":"Work To Start On Footpath"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>December 22, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Work on a new footpath in Markwell Street, Kingaroy, will begin in mid-January.<\/p>\n<p>A South Burnett Regional Council spokesperson said the project &#8211; to extend from William Street to Aldi &#8211; should take about one week.<\/p>\n<p>Works have been funded through the Transport Infrastructure Development Scheme and Council\u2019s 2020-21 Capital Upgrade Works Program.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Contractors will be doing line marking on South Burnett roads from January 11.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In order to provide a safe work environment, the work areas will be controlled by signs or with traffic controllers.<\/p>\n<p>The work should take two weeks.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>From mid-January, contractors will be doing upgrades to a number of State-controlled roads in the South Burnett.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These include a heavy grade on the unsealed section of Memerambi-Gordonbrook Road and grading of the shoulders along the sealed section; and a shoulder grade of Kingaroy-Barkers Creek Road.<\/p>\n<p>The works are expected to take three to four weeks.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>* * *<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Council has advised that the upgrade of the Wheatland\u2019s State School setdown and parking areas, adjacent to Byee Road, has begun.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The project is expected to be finished by January 27.<\/p>\n<p>The sealed carpark will be extended and a\u00a0bus turning zone, setdown area and footpath created.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[UPDATED]<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Work on a new footpath in Markwell Street, Kingaroy, will begin in mid-January.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":178051,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[22,3],"tags":[1131],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
