The State Government is seeking feedback on a discussion paper aimed at improving educational outcomes for indigenous Queenslanders.<\/p>\n

The cut-off date for submissions is April 30.<\/p>\n

Education Minister John-Paul Langbroek said the discussion paper invited contributions into the development of a new Queensland Indigenous education action plan, which is due for release mid-year.<\/p>\n

\u201cI encourage anyone interested in improving outcomes for young Indigenous Queenslanders to read the discussion paper and submit their ideas,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new action plan will cover the full spectrum of early childhood education and care, school education, training, tertiary education and employment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe want to build an educational pathway for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders in Queensland, so they are supported from \u2018crayon to career\u2019.”<\/p>\n

The discussion paper is organised around four key priorities: engagement and partnerships, high quality and responsive services, successful transitions and workforce and leadership capacity.<\/p>\n
