Anyone entering Queensland who has been in NSW will be required to complete a border declaration pass from 1:00am on Sunday (December 20).<\/p>\n

A police spokesperson said that in response to an unfolding COVID-19 cluster in Sydney, anyone who has been anywhere in NSW since December 11 will be required to complete the pass before entering the State.<\/p>\n

All Queensland travellers returning from NSW will also be required to complete the online pass.<\/p>\n

All motorists crossing the State border from NSW into Queensland will need to have a valid border declaration pass which should be displayed on their windscreen when crossing the border.<\/p>\n

Police will be conducting random intercepts of vehicles at border crossings and meeting flights coming into Queensland to ensure compliance.<\/p>\n

Providing false information on a border declaration pass or entering Queensland unlawfully could result in a $4003 fine.<\/strong><\/p>\n

People who have been in a hotspot either in the past 14 days – or since it was identified – will only be able to enter Queensland if they are a returning Queensland resident or required to enter for a limited range of essential reasons.<\/p>\n

Queensland residents returning to Queensland from a hotspot must\u00a0quarantine\u00a0for 14 days on entering Queensland in government-arranged accommodation at their own expense.<\/p>\n

The updated Queensland border declaration pass will be available online<\/a><\/strong> on Saturday (December) from 8:00pm and is valid for 14 days.<\/p>\n

Queensland Health is urging anyone who was at The Glen Hotel, Eight Mile Plains, on Wednesday (December 16) between 11:00am and 2:30pm who has not yet been contacted by public health officials to contact 13 HEALTH (13-43-25-84) immediately.<\/p>\n

Contact tracers have identified there are patrons who either provided illegible manual sign-in information or did not check in at the venue.<\/p>\n

They must self-quarantine and get tested for COVID-19.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s critically important that contact tracers can identify all close contacts of a confirmed case as quickly as possible to help protect the Queensland community.<\/p>\n
