Kingaroy Library will be closed to the public until repairs can be made<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Kingaroy Library has been forced to close after sustaining water damage in the recent heavy rain.<\/p>\n

A Council spokesperson said the library building had been closed for repairs and a clean-up.<\/p>\n

\u201cGiven the current risk, and to ensure public and staff safety, we have had to close the Kingaroy Library,” Mayor Brett Otto said.<\/p>\n

“The decision to close was not taken lightly, as we know this will cause inconvenience for those who were planning to visit the library over coming weeks.\u201d<\/p>\n

The after-hours return chute at the Kingaroy Library will remain open for customers to drop their library items in while the building is closed.<\/p>\n

The free take-home Christmas craft packs – which had been available at the library – can be collected from the Kingaroy Customer Service Centre.<\/p>\n

How long the library will remain closed is not known until an assessment has been made of the necessary repairs and clean-up.<\/p>\n

Customers can still visit Nanango, Blackbutt, Wondai, Proston or Murgon libraries.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
