Queensland’s last remaining border restrictions – on hotspots in South Australia – will be lifted from 1:00am on Saturday (December 12).<\/p>\n

Premier\u00a0Annastacia Palaszczuk also announced on Friday that\u00a0New Zealanders will be able to holiday in Queensland without entering mandatory hotel quarantine when they arrive.<\/p>\n

New Zealand has achieved 28 days without community transmission of an unknown source.<\/p>\n

\u201cThanks to the diligence of Queenslanders, our State is about to open to all Australians and to our friends across the Tasman,\u201d the Premier said.<\/p>\n

Travellers from New Zealand will need to apply online for a free Australia Travel Declaration from the Department of Home Affairs, at least 72 hours prior to departure.<\/p>\n

Dancing indoors in pubs, clubs and nightclubs will also be permitted from noon on Monday (December 14), subject to the one person per two square metres rule.<\/p>\n

Queensland is now operating under Stage 6 of the Roadmap to Easing of Restrictions, which includes:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Gatherings<\/strong>:\u00a0Gatherings in public outdoor spaces of 100 people permitted across Queensland. Gathering in homes of 50 people permitted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
      \n
    • Indoor premises<\/strong>:\u00a0Indoor premises, such as restaurants, cafes, pubs, clubs, museums, art galleries, places of worship, convention centres and Parliament House, allowed one per person per two square metres.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
        \n
      • Wedding ceremonies<\/strong>:\u00a0Up to 200 people can attend a wedding ceremony and all guests can dance.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
          \n
        • Funerals<\/strong>:\u00a0Up to 200 people can attend a funeral.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            \n
          • Indoor events<\/strong>:\u00a0Seated, ticketed indoor venues, such as theatre, live music, cinemas and indoor sports, permitted to operate at 100 per cent capacity with patrons to wear masks on entry and exit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
              \n
            • Outdoor events<\/strong>:\u00a0Outdoor events permitted to admit 1500 people with a COVID Safe Event Checklist. Larger events require a COVID Safe Plan.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                \n
              • Dancing<\/strong>: Outdoor dancing permitted. From noon on Monday (December 14), indoor dancing will be permitted, subject to the one person per two square metre rule.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
                  \n
                • Open air stadiums<\/strong>:\u00a0Open air stadiums permitted to operate at 100 per cent seated capacity (with a COVID Safe Plan).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
