December 10, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n

Kingaroy’s annual Christmas Carnival morphed into a twilight markets on Thursday but that didn’t stop families coming out to enjoy a bit of festive fun.<\/p>\n

It was same but different … no rides, but the Rotary ham wheel was spinning.<\/p>\n

There were no visiting market stalls, but there were plenty of local groups taking advantage of the opportunity to show off their wares.<\/p>\n

There was no dancing on stage, but there was still live music.<\/p>\n

And, of course, there was still a giant raffle and Santa’s elves handing out lollies.<\/p>\n

The Kingaroy Christmas Carnival Committee’s markets were held in the car park behind the Broadway Hotel in Glendon Street, a COVID-safe venue that could be cordoned off to control crowd numbers and with a defined entry point where names could be recorded.<\/p>\n

But the one big difference about this year’s Kingaroy Christmas event? It didn’t rain!<\/p>\n
