UPDATE: This meeting was cancelled late on Monday after a storm passed through the region.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

A meeting will be held at the 1913 Council Chambers in Edward Street, Kingaroy, on Monday night (December 7) to discuss the inaugural Festival Of Cultures.<\/p>\n

The festival was originally scheduled to be held for for the first time in April this year, but like so much else was cancelled due to COVID.<\/p>\n

Planning is now under way for the 2021 event.<\/p>\n

The meeting, which will begin at 5:00pm, is being hosted by the\u00a0South Burnett Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Corporation but everyone has been invited to come along and be involved in this multicultural event.<\/p>\n

“Come along and bring a friend!” organiser Val McGrath said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Festival Of Cultures received an $8000 State Government “Celebrating Multicultural Queensland” grant last year to assist with organising the festival.<\/p>\n

This was re-announced last week and will be put towards this year’s event.<\/p>\n
