Kingaroy BaconFest organisers have announced the dates for the 2021 festival – and the news that celebrity chef Miguel Maestre will be headlining the event.<\/p>\n

The annual food festival was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions, but organisers say they are\u00a0working hard to ensure next year\u2019s event on August 20-22 is “pigger” than ever.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey say bacon is the duct tape of the food world, it fixes everything!\u201d Miguel\u00a0 said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t wait to visit the beautiful South Burnett in Queensland next August to explore the region\u2019s produce and celebrate all things pig.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miguel is co-host of the award-winning lifestyle television series The Living Room and has\u00a0presented several TV programs including Miguel\u2019s Feast, Miguel\u2019s Tropical Kitchen and Boys Weekend.<\/p>\n

Chief Baconeer Kristy Board said she was excited to be welcoming a chef of Miguel’s calibre to Kingaroy.<\/p>\n
