Nanango’s Easter Races attracted a big crowd on Saturday eager to have fun on a holiday weekend.<\/p>\n

It was a day for the apprentices, with Chelsea Jokic bringing home home two winners and a third, and\u00a0Ricky Johnston-Bell picking up a late ride on Race 5 winner, the locally trained Lady Oscar.<\/p>\n

Fashions of the Field was as popular as ever, attracting a large number of entries in all categories.<\/p>\n

The theme of the day was \u201cHeels, Handbags and Hats\u201d.<\/p>\n

Women’s winner was Monique Pearson, from Cherbourg, with runner-up Liang Yuan, a visitor from China.<\/p>\n

Men’s winner was Simon Pedron, from Nanango, ahead of sentimental favourite Colin Taylor, from Goomeri.<\/p>\n

Boy’s winner was Jacob Coyne, 4, from Nanango; girl’s winner was Demi Ellem, 4, from Chinchilla.<\/p>\n
