{"id":287381,"date":"2020-11-25T14:39:28","date_gmt":"2020-11-25T04:39:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/?p=287381"},"modified":"2020-11-25T16:02:20","modified_gmt":"2020-11-25T06:02:20","slug":"two-charged-with-trafficking-ice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2020\/11\/25\/two-charged-with-trafficking-ice\/","title":{"rendered":"Two Charged With Trafficking Ice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>November 25, 2020<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Two people have been charged &#8211; and police are hunting for a third &#8211; after a drugs raid in Kingaroy on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Detectives conducted the search in Candello Close as part of Operation Volta,\u00a0launched by Kingaroy CIB in March to target the supply of ice in the local community.<\/p>\n<p>A man and a woman allegedly involved in drug trafficking were arrested on Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>A police spokesperson said a third person remained outstanding.<\/p>\n<p>Police allege the three have been trafficking methamphetamine from Brisbane and supplying it within the South Burnett during the past eight months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A quantity of ice, drug paraphernalia and cash were allegedly seized during the operation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A 30-year-old Kingaroy man has been charged with one count of drug trafficking, 209 counts of supplying a dangerous drug, one count of possessing anything used in a commission of a crime and one count of receiving property from trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>He was due to appear in Murgon Magistrates Court on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>A 59-year-old Kingaroy woman has been charged with one count of drug trafficking, 28 counts of supplying a dangerous drug and one count of receiving property from trafficking.<\/p>\n<p>She appeared in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Tuesday and and was bailed to re-appear on March 1, 2021.<\/p>\n<p>Police investigations are continuing.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Related article: <a href=\"https:\/\/southburnett.com.au\/news2\/2020\/11\/11\/three-charged-with-trafficking\/\">Three Charged With Trafficking<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Two people have been charged &#8211; and police are hunting for a third &#8211; after a drugs raid in Kingaroy on Tuesday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":20,"featured_media":219645,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"open","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":[],"categories":[3,24],"tags":[1132],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v19.11 -
